Deanna Otts-Whitfield, MSHQS, BSDH, RDH, CDIPC, is a nationally recognized dental professional, speaker, author, and consultant dedicated to advancing patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance. A United States Marine Corps veteran, she brings a disciplined, service-driven approach to leadership, education, and professional excellence.

 Deanna earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Texas Woman's University and her Executive Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety from Sam Houston State University. She is also a Certified in Dental Infection Prevention and Control (CDIPC) professional through the Association for Dental Safety, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practices that protect patients, providers, and communities.

 With more than 17 years of experience in clinical practice, healthcare quality, and compliance, Deanna is the founder and owner of The Prevention Standard, a consulting and education company that partners with dental offices to strengthen OSHA compliance, infection prevention programs, risk management, and clinical quality. She is known for transforming complex regulations into practical, sustainable systems that improve safety, efficiency, and team confidence.

 A respected leader within the dental community, Deanna has served on the boards of the Texas Dental Hygienists' Association and the Texas Oral Health Coalition and currently serves on the Board of the Minnesota Dental Hygienists' Association. She is an active member of the Association for Dental Safety and the American Dental Hygienists' Association and remains committed to advancing the profession through leadership, advocacy, and education.
